  1. Purpose & Scope of Application

This policy describes how we collect, process, store and protect your personal data when you use the website https://gmsafety.ro (the “Website”) or complete the contact form.
By providing your data or by continuing to use the Website, you confirm that you have read this policy and agree to the practices described.

We collect only the personal data you provide directly through the contact form on the Website – for example: first name, last name, email address, phone number, possibly company name, vessel name, flag, IMO number, type of equipment, ETA/port, message.

We do not collect special categories of data (such as health data, racial/ethnic origin, biometric data) and we do not run marketing campaigns.

  1. Purposes of Processing & Legal Basis

Your data will be used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request and/or providing the requested service (e.g., preparing a quote, scheduling, execution).
The legal bases are:

  • Pre-contractual (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – when you request a service.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – maintaining contact with potential or existing clients for service provision.
    We do not use the data for direct marketing without explicit consent (and given our activity, we do not run marketing campaigns).

We retain your data only as long as necessary for the purpose they were collected (for example: until service completion or until the request is closed). After that, the data will be deleted or anonymised, depending on need and applicable legal requirements.
